Sea Kayak encounters around Venice and the lagoon

 

AcquaAlta2010 - Raduno sulle acque della Serenissima is an initiative set up by Canoa Club Mestre aimed at both experienced sea kayakers and at people with some kayaking experience who would like to try out sea kayaking for the first time.

 

The event, which is planned for the week leading up to the Vogalonga and just after Mare Maggio, has the potential to bring together paddlers from all over Europe. It offers a series of trips which will lead the participants to not only to discover historic Venice from the unique perspective of the water, but also to explore the stunning and largely overlooked natural wetlands surrounding the city.

 

AcquaAlta2010 is an opportunity to explore and improve personal paddling techniques in the unique environment of the Venice lagoon.

 

UNA (Uniti nell'Acqua) Canoa Club Mestre is a proud to be a co-founder (along with other sports clubs in the region) of UNA (Uniti nell'Acqua), an integrated project for watersports spanning a range of clubs and associations and aimed at broadening access to watersport for all. We will be making sure that elements of the Raduno are made accessible to people with disabilties, and also integrated into UNA's proposed plan of activities.
